What are The Barkery cakes made of?
Our cakes are baked fresh using dog-safe, food-grade ingredients, including oat flour, eggs, Finnish carrots, and high-quality protein (chicken or salmon) sourced locally. Each cake is designed to be tasty, healthy, and safe for dogs to enjoy.
How are the cakes decorated?
Each cake is beautifully finished with smooth lactose-free cream cheese frosting with peanut butter, and decorated with a small, handmade treat. The simple, natural decoration highlights the wholesome ingredients and handcrafted care that go into every cake.
How does delivery and pickup work?
Since our cakes are fresh and delicate, they cannot be shipped by post. We personally deliver them within the Turku area to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.
If you’re nearby, you can also pick up your order from the Pääskyvuori area.
For customers outside Turku, we can arrange a meet-up in Turku city center at an agreed time.
Do you deliver outside of Turku?
At the moment, cakes can only be delivered in the Turku area or picked up in Turku city center. Our dry treats, however, can be shipped anywhere in Finland.
How big is the cake?
Each cake is approximately 10 cm in diameter, making it the perfect size for a small celebration or to share between a few dogs.
How should I store the cake?
Because our cakes are made with fresh chicken or salmon and contain no preservatives, they must be stored in the refrigerator and consumed within 2–3 days.
For longer storage, you can freeze the cake for up to one month. Always thaw in the refrigerator, never at room temperature.
How should I serve the cake?
We recommend cutting the cake into small pieces and serving it as a special treat, not a full meal.
Always ensure your dog has fresh water available while enjoying it.
